Presentation tips
- Prepare your session —check who the other presenters are and what they are going to address to adjust your presentation
- Check the time, day and location of your presentation —refer to the programme given the day of the conference, not the one printed in your home/office
- Be ready to speak within the time limit.
- Focus on the issue, outcomes, problems, facts, etc. —do not waste the first half of your presentation with the introduction...
- Speak to the audience — do not read your short/long paper, present it! Use the slides as a script supporting your presentation.
- Stick to the timing —think of the other speakers and delegates that would like to engage in a discussion.
- Be legible —text on slides should be legible to the audience.
- Be sure to check that your presentation runs on the AV equipment before your session begins.
