Welcome to ePortfolio & Digital Identity 2008

Conference Programme: The event features top-level plenary presentations, open fora, a full-day workshop, a series of other workshops, special interest group meetings and parallel presentations. Keynote speakers include: Norman Longworth, Honorary Professor of Lifelong Learning, Stirling university, Darren Cambridge, George Mason University, USA, Barbara Cambridge, National Council of Teachers of English, USA, Serge Ravet, EIfEL. A special plenary session devoted to the ePortfolio for regions and territories will feature presentations by Paul Wasko, eFolio Minnesota and Paul Messer, Careers Wales, Jangui Le Carpentier, Région Basse-Normandie and Rens de Groot, the Netherlands. Helen Barrett, international ePortfolio consultant will be running a one-day interactive workshop on 22 October on Building a Personal Learning Environment in the Web 2.0 Cloud.

News: Conference Update Conference related news.; Increasing Employability by Introducing e-Portfolio for All in the Netherlands In order to increase employability every member of the labour force in The Netherlands will be entitled to a digital e-portfolio. This is one of the key recommendations of the Dutch Committee on Labour Market Participation in "Towards a future that works" (June 2008).; Towards a Future that Works (PDF) Main Recommendations - Committee on Labour Market Participation (The Netherlands) - 16 June 2008 : Digital e-portfolio. Every member of the labour force will be entitled to a digital e-portfolio, i.e. an electronic inventory of their competencies, diplomas, experience, and accreditation of prior learning (APL). This will give people a better understanding of their position on the labour market and their career prospects, and of any need they have for further training.; Regional ePortfolio Track This year, the regional ePortfolio track has been reinforced, thanks to the support of the Limburg Region. Our objective is to bring together, policy makers and practitioners to explore the current results of regional and territorial policies such as those developed in Wales and Minnesota to discuss the foundations for future regional and national ePortfolio policies and international co-operation.; More...

ePortfolio & Digital Identity 2008, Maastricht 22-24 October 2008: This year's conference challenge is "breaking boundaries for human capital development and social innovation." The objective is to explore how digital technologies, and in particular ePortfolios and digital identity, are transforming individual, organisational and community learning and development, creating an opportunity for the emergence of new models and paradigms in the field of learning, employment and social inclusion, contributing to finding the solution to the challenges we are facing today, and will be facing tomorrow, in building an inclusive and sustainable knowledge economy and society

The conference lasts 3 days, each day providing a specific focus on the different issue with keynote speakers and workshop leaders.
