Presentation Format

A variety of presentation modes is invited: full papers, short papers, case studies, work in progress, workshops posters.

Each submission must explicitly address at least one of the conference tracks / themes. During the sessions the presenters will have the opportunity to state their individual contribution to these issues that will be the input for further debate and recommendations.

  1. presentation during the conference with or without 10-20 minutes presentation, including question time
  2. : submissions are reviewed for presentation on the basis of a 'long abstract' (between 500 and 750 words).
  3. publication in the proceedings: submissions are reviewed for publication on the basis of the final submission

All contributions will be reviewed for

  • Full paper (8 pages) — a detailed description of scientific work.
  • Work-in-progress (2- 5 pages) — a short description of ongoing or beginning work, position papers.
  • Case study (2-5 pages) — a short description of a work experience.

  • Workshop (1 page) — a description of an interactive workshop to be delivered in the course of the conference.
  • Poster - A1 format — a space will be provided in the exhibition area

Submission of contributions

On submission of abstract, the preferred mode may be specified, but depending on the topic and input from other contributors, delegates may be invited to submit in another mode. Whatever the mode, all presenters will be invited to contribute a fuller text version on their chosen topic to be edited for publication in print and in shortened form for the ePortfolio 2008 conference website.

NB: the conference management tool (http://www.conftool.net/lfl2009/) provides a special field for abstracts. This is where abstracts have to be submitted. No abstract file should be uploaded, only presentations and contributions (papers, short papers, presentation files, etc.).

  • Background or context
  • Objectives
  • Summary of results
  • Conclusions and recommendations

Before preparing your abstract carefully study the instructions given below:

  1. Abstracts mus be submitted using our conference management service.
  2. The abstract should not contain charts, graphics, references, or credits.
  3. Abstracts will not be edited by the conference organiser. Before submitting your abstract, check carefully to make sure it contains no spelling or typographical errors.
  4. An untidy abstract will not be included in the programme.  
  5. Authors must state which format they wish their presentation to be considered as.
